As I look back on the last several years, it’s amazing to see the number of lives impacted by the Barry-Wehmiller story and our message of Truly Human Leadership.

I’ve been privileged to speak to audiences all over the world, granted dozens of interviews and had the opportunity to meet many influential thought leaders. Everybody Matters, the book I wrote with my co-author, Raj Sisodia, became a best-seller and a documentary of the same name was produced.

In the 2017-2018 academic year, a case study about Barry-Wehmiller and Truly Human Leadership was written and is now taught as part of the Leadership & Accountability course at Harvard Business School.

We have a long way to go, and we’re still working hard to show others that business could be the most powerful force for good if leaders simply cared about the lives they touch. Our non-profit, Our Community Listens, is making a difference in communities throughout the U.S. and the BW Leadership Institute (now Chapman & Co. Leadership Instituteread more here) is affecting corporate entities in a dramatic way.

And, in many ways, it all began with my TEDx talk. When I agreed to participate in the event, I would have never guessed how well-received that talk and our message would be. It has been viewed almost 193,000 times and an abbreviated animated version has been view more than 58,000 times.

Tomorrow, July 18, 2019, things will come full circle when TEDxClayton happens in the same town as Barry-Wehmiller’s corporate office. A brilliant roster of speakers will talk about “Shaping the Human Experience” during the day-long event, of which the BW Leadership Institute is the presenting sponsor. You can find more about these Truly Human Leaders at the TEDxClayton website.

Here’s a video of Matt Whiat, one of the founding partners of the BW Leadership Institute, talking about the event:

TEDx Clayton has been sold out for a while, but we encourage you to follow it on InstagramLinkedIn and Twitter for updates throughout the day. Additionally, you can sign up here to receive videos of each presentation when they become available in a few weeks.

I’m sure the day will be inspiring to those in attendance with the videos of the event serving as inspiration to others long after.
