Last weekend, I was featured in an article on Marker by Medium, which detailed Barry-Wehmiller's response to the 2008-2009 economic crisis. It sought to apply the lessons from that time to today's economic crisis and the challenges businesses face amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

That article led to an appearance on CNBC's Fast Money this past Monday, as well as a story on the local St. Louis Fox station.

Chapman & Co. Leadership Institute -- our leadership consulting firm that partners with other companies to create strategic visions, engage employees, improve corporate culture and develop outstanding leaders -- has been working diligently these past few weeks to provide resources for companies trying to navigate this difficult time. They are holding weekly webinars and providing case studies and decision-making and communication tools to help companies make sure they are keeping their focus on their people. Just as we did in 2008-2009.

I participated in a webinar with Sara Hannah and Matt Whiat of Chapman & Co. during which I talked about Barry-Wehmiller's experiences in 2008-2009, how we applied those lessons to shape our response to the current crisis, and how we are navigating the COVID-19 pandemic in our company. We also answered questions from the virtual attendees of the webinar.

For this episode of the Everybody Matters Podcast, we thought it would be useful to provide you with an edited version of that webinar. Hopefully the lessons we learned in the midst of one crisis will help you and your business for a long time to come.
