One of the biggest challenges Barry-Wehmiller faces as a company is how to grow and sustain our culture of Truly Human Leadership in our growing organization.

When you’re a $3+ billion company with more than 12,000 team members in over 200 locations around the world that has acquired more than 100 companies, it’s a difficult job. And we’re growing every year. It’s a massive undertaking to try to make sure people across the entire organization — from Russia to India to Wisconsin and many points in-between — feel cared for.

Rhonda Spencer is Barry-Wehmiller’s Chief People Officer. She has been with the company since before the development of our Guiding Principles of Leadership and was one of the major voices in its creation. It’s her primary responsibility to be the steward of our values and make sure that light shines to the furthest reaches of our organization.

Rhonda joins Brent Stewart and Mary Rudder on the Everybody Matters Podcast this week to talk about the nuts and bolts of how we try to make everybody feel like they matter at Barry-Wehmiller. She also talks about how she became Barry-Wehmiller’s first Chief People Officer and what the position means to her.
