PARIS, France — July 20, 2015 — Synerlink, a form/fill/seal packaging equipment provider for the fresh dairy industry, will promote its latest innovations in technology at Pack Expo 2015, September 28-30, in Booth #C-1800 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada.

A team of professionals from Synerlink will be available throughout the show to discuss all of the latest offerings and improvements of the company, including the apsleever®.
The first compact and fully integrated end-of-line sleeve applicator, the versatile apsleever created by Aprium Technology (the brand name for robotic solutions developed by Synerlink) allows producers to both upgrade the packaging of their volume products and reduce their production costs.

To maintain customer loyalty, yogurt and milk-based dessert producers often focus on product quality, texture, and new flavors. These were the concepts that inspired the Aprium R&D team while they were developing the apsleever. Having a product placed in a premium package—one that has a nice shape, a bright sleeve, a perfectly positioned lid, and is delivered in multi-packs— suggests the producers’ dedication to quality in every way, while its innovative design ensures top-notch texture and exciting mixed flavors. Yogurts and milk-based desserts are delicate products that must not be over manipulated, turned upside down or overheated. The apsleever is perfect for such items because it can apply a sleeve label to all kinds of cup shapes without having to turn the cup upside down, and shrinks it in less than 3 seconds.

At only 5 meters long, the apsleever benefits from a significantly reduced footprint compared to existing solutions. Its single, standard module can be added onto both FFS and FS lines, allowing it to apply sleeve labels to both packs and unit cups. The apsleever has been designed for line integration which enables Synerlink to offer an adaptable system that minimizes waste and product changeover time. Also, cups are tracked from the filling process and label changes can be synchronized with product changeover in real time.
With this machine, manufacturers can begin production from undifferentiated packaging, saving both storage and labor costs. It should also be noted that the apsleever can process several types of film. Producers may select their own preferred supplier, whose product will be tested on the machine and validated by Aprium.
