Congratulations to Toby Murray of BW Papersystems in Milton, PA (US) for receiving a High Five award! The nominator explained he went above and beyond to help a customer in South Korea. Congratulations to Melissa Tessmann of Design Group-Boston in Boxborough, MA (US) for receiving a High Five award! Melissa, a Quality Engineer, was recognized for working tirelessly to get a client's asset management system running from the ground up. She frequently put in extra hours to meet milestones, assisted other DG team members in learning Blue Mountain, a regulatory asset management system, and guided her own team during the setup and roll out of Blue Mountain for an important project. Way to go, Melissa!

Margherita and Lorenzo Cirio participate in internships in St. Louis

Brother and sister duo, Margherita and Lorenzo Cirio (above), whose family founded Canelli, Italy based AROL SpA (AROL), are learning more about how BW fosters People and Performance in Harmony during their internships at BW's global headquarters in St. Louis, MO (US). Margherita joined the People Team's human resources mentoring program. Lorenzo joined the Communications Team to learn the critical role communications plays in supporting all aspects of BW. AROL, founded in 1978 by their grandfather, Sergio Cirio, is a global provider of capping and closure systems for the food, beverage, wine and spirit, household care, personal care, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

The Red Cross requests support after Hurricane Ian

At the end of September, Hurricane Ian devastated Lee and Charlotte counties in Florida (US), with winds of 150 mph and rainfall in excess of 20 inches. 60 percent of the 235,000 homes in these counties were destroyed. The American Red Cross and its partners are supporting those impacted with food, shelter, water, supplies, hygiene items and more. If you would like to help the recovery efforts, consider making a donation.

ATTENTION US-BASED TEAM MEMBERS

Today is the LAST DAY for Annual Enrollment in the US!

US-based team members, whether or not you are enrolled in BW medical benefits, today is the last day to complete these important actions:

1. ALL team members and spouses should complete the once-per-lifetime MyQHealth Get Connected process.

2. ALL team members must login to Workday and complete the Open Enrollment Change task in their Workday inbox.

As part of a growing global organization with a culture of care, team members are asked to complete required trainings, review policies and update important information. That time of year has come, and all required policy and training tasked are due to be complete in Workday by November 30. To access these tasks, log into your Workday account. Use these tips to stay cybersecure, both at work and at home!

The BW IT team works hard to guard against cyberthreats, but they can't do it without your help! Here are ten security tips to help you stay cybersecure:

1. Use multi-factor authentication passwords and never share passwords.

2. Lock your computer, mobile phone and tablet while away from these devices.

3. If a URL does not start with “https,” do not provide confidential information.

4. Never visit the dark web.

5. Don’t open e-mails from companies or people you would not expect to contact you.

6. Don’t use personal e-mail accounts to conduct BW business.

7. Keep your computer software up to date.

8. Never connect an unknown USB flash drive to any device.

9. Only download software from trusted, BW approved sources.

10. Delete accounts and apps you haven’t used in six months or more.
