BW Design Group wraps-up phase one of Coca-Cola warehouse construction

In 2017, Coca-Cola Refreshments exited the wholesale distribution business in North America, altering major bottler territories. BW Design Group (DG) worked with many of those bottlers affected on supply chain planning, warehouse logistics, facility assessments and more. One bottler's 1960s era buildings, located on a 9-acre parcel territory in Buffalo, NY (US), were well past useful life but ideally located for western NY trucking operations. With a planning study, DG found costs and logistics favored staying on the current property rather than building elsewhere. In 2021, DG began a two-phase engineering and construction management program to replace the current warehouse with a new one. Phase one is scheduled to be completed this month.
