Because the video’s overall message—we care about your health and wellbeing and encourage all team members to take care of themselves—is relevant to our team members around the globe, we’re sharing it here. BW INCLUSION UPDATE

BW holds Inclusive Mindset Workshop for 50+ team members

As BW President Kyle Chapman shared in the recent BW Inclusion video message, our BW Packaging and Information Technology teams are testing some inclusion initiatives through two pilot programs to help us better understand how to attract and retain diverse talent.

To kick off the pilot efforts, leaders from these two teams—along with members of BW Flexible Systems’ newly formed, 14-person Diversity & Inclusion Council from Duncan, South Carolina (USA)—gathered together for a full day of learning, dialogue and action planning last month.

As part of the workshop, the Pillsbury House Theatre (pictured right) presented its “Breaking Ice” program, portraying real-life situations designed to deepen awareness and cultivate action. After the performance, BW’s Organizational Development and Inclusion Leader Chyna Bowen led meaningful conversations among workshop participants to further promote introspection and empathy, and help guide each team’s pilot plans.

Regarding the day’s learnings, one participant shared that they would like to help “create an environment where less courage is required” for team members who feel marginalized. Please watch out for periodic updates on the pilots and their progress!

NEW TECH TIP

Move to the next line in Teams chat, online forms or within an Excel cell

Hitting “Enter” will have the unintended consequence of sending (or submitting) in a Teams chat, online form or within an Excel cell. Instead, use Alt+Enter OR Shift+Enter in Teams Chat and online forms to move to the next line. In Excel, use Alt+Enter to move to the next line while staying in the same cell. Note that the combination of Shift+Enter doesn’t do the same thing in Excel; instead, it moves your cursor highlighted cell to the cell directly above.
