STOW, Ohio — Sept. 8, 2016 — When it comes to custom packaging solutions, PneumaticScaleAngelus has delivered big and small for more than 100 years.

PneumaticScaleAngelus’ product line includes the most advanced filling, capping, labeling, seaming, change parts and centrifuge technologies designed to the unique specifications of their customers.
Its new CB50 Can Seamer, made specifically for the needs of the growing craft brewing industry, is one such custom solution that PneumaticScaleAngelus will showcase in booth S-2100, at Pack Expo 2016, Nov. 6-9 in Chicago, Ill.
The CB50 seamer’s technology is based off of PneumaticScaleAngelus’ well-established high speed seamer design for larger scale operations. But its efficient, compact design makes the CB50 perfect for breweries or other beverage companies just starting to enter the distribution marketplace with canned product.
“The CB50 will seam up to 50 cans per minute and can be paired with any carbonated beverage filler of the customer’s choice,” said Adam Brandt, vice president of sales for PneumaticScaleAngelus. “We can also retrofit other filling and seaming systems with the CB50 seamer.”
PneumaticScaleAngelus is one of a number of Barry-Wehmiller companies represented in BW Packaging Solutions. Earlier in 2016, PneumaticScaleAngelus acquired Quimper, France-based Hema, a leader in designing, manufacturing and supporting filling machines for global markets. Hema recently celebrated 80 years of manufacturing excellence.
“Since Hema has joined the PSA family, we now have another global filler option with many options to fit customer needs,” Brandt said.
Their new Global Filler, a combination of a PneumaticScaleAngelus Servo Capper and a Hema Servo Driven Volumetric Filler, will also be on display at Pack Expo.
“Both technologies have been huge successes in the industry so pairing them together creates a filler that will be unstoppable,” Brandt said. “But there are other options that customers can mix and match to best suit their needs.
