KEEP SHINING A LIGHT ON YOUR FELLOW TEAM MEMBERS!

Last month, BW launched the Shine the Light Award, a NEW global recognition program designed to shine a light on team members’ noteworthy accomplishments, as they fulfill our Team Member Commitments: Communicates Effectively, Customer Focus, Drives Results, Instills Trust and Optimizes Work Processes. A peer-to-peer recognition

opportunity, the Shine Award gives YOU a chance to honor your fellow team members with a surprise celebration, a special plaque and gift, and a letter of recognition to share with family.

Since the launch, team members have submitted 278 nominations in 9 languages (Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Serbian and Spanish) across 17 countries (Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and United States). Approximately 95 celebrations are in the planning stages, and 8 team members have already received their awards.

This is a great start—but let’s keep the nominations coming! BW has set a goal of presenting 1,000 Shine Awards by the end of 2025. We invite YOU to visit bw.care/shine and nominate a team member who has modeled a Team Member Commitment while contributing to a project or initiative in an exceptional manner. People have a deep need to know they matter—a Shine Award is an excellent way to let them know that they do!

Watch this video to learn more about the Shine the Light Award program. (All BW platforms and companies, except Alliance, Afinitas, Machine Solutions and Cor Partners, are currently participating in the Shine Award program.)

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

2024-25 BW college scholarship applications NOW OPEN!

Marjorie E. Chapman, the late mother of BW CEO Bob Chapman, had the opportunity to attend college thanks to a generous banker in her hometown. Now, her estate is making college scholarships a reality for current BW team members’ dependent children who will be or are enrolled full-time at a two- or four-year nonprofit college, university or trade school in the US or Canada. Applications are due April 15. For more information about eligibility and to view the need-based and essay applications, click HERE.

US-BASED TEAM MEMBERS

TRANSLATION HELP NEEDED

BW needs your help with translation projects

BW translates global messages, campaigns and initiatives into 12 different languages: Chinese, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Serbian, Spanish and Swedish. Each project that is translated is reviewed by a volunteer BW team member, who is fluent in that language, to ensure the message is accurate and localized. Because our translation needs are growing, we are seeking more volunteers. If you are interested in helping provide this very important service, please reach out to callie.gulley@barry-wehmiller.com.

NEW TECH TIP

Starting in March, BW's guest Wi-Fi will be easier to access

In March, it will be easier for clients and guests visiting BW facilities to login to our guest Wi-Fi portal. They will no longer have to create an account first. Instead, every visitor will connect to guest Wi-Fi in a manner similar to connecting in a hotel, restaurant or retail location. In other words, on an as-needed basis. For more details, including the changeover date, watch your inboxes.
