Team Members of BW Papersystems in Stuttgart, Germany recently participated in the local Nürtinger Drachenbootrennen competition, also known as the '2024 Dragon Boat Cup.’

After weeks of training and preparations, the BWP Team “Flying Papers” crossed the finish line of the 300-meter regatta course in one minute and 22 seconds, achieving 7th out of 27 teams!

Each boat has 16 paddlers moving in unison to combine strength with teamwork. A drummer sits at the front of the boat to assist in setting the timing for the team, essentially “the heartbeat of the dragon” while the Steersperson, or team captain, stands at the back of the boat to steer the crew. Congratulations to BWP on this achievement! To read more about this year’s Nürtinger Drachenbootrennen, click here.
