BW launches stand-alone CARR Biosystems as centrifuge venture

Formerly CARR Centritech, a brand of Pneumatic Scale Angelus within the BW Packaging platform, CARR Biosystems was established to meet the need of rapid growth in bioprocessing. The newly-formed, independent business draws on nearly three decades of expertise with a renewed focus on stainless steel and single-use centrifugal separation systems.

Design Group (DG) earns eight high rankings by industry authority

Engineering News-Record, widely deemed the industry benchmark, ranked DG on eight of their "Top Lists": Top 500 Design Firms, Top 100 Design-Build Firms, Food and Beverage, Semiconductor, Pharmaceuticals, Industrial Process, Chemical Plants and Refineries and Petrochemical Plants. The annual lists rate public and private US companies based on revenue in the previous year. Take a moment to watch a celebratory video of this milestone in DG's history.

BW Converting Solutions (BWCS) launches new platform mircosite

BWCS, a strategic alliance of Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), Winkler+Dünnebier (W+D), STAX Technologies, Hudson-Sharp, and Northern Engraving and Machine, launched their new microsite this month. The site aligns the converting industry leaders under the new BWCS platform as ONE Global Team.

Synerlink's Snapcut technology named Sustainaiblity Awards finalist

Synerlink's Snapcut has been shortlisted as one of the 2022 finalists of Packaging Europe’s Sustainable Packaging Awards. The sustainable innovations competition is regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious contests that focuses on key sustainability-related issues facing the packaging industry. Snapcut's patented technology enables dairy processors to cut and pre-cut PET, PP and all other recyclable and recycled plastics into 0.6 mm thickness, reducing the amount of plastic used.

BW's new CARR Biosystems names Joel Williams first-ever President

CARR Biosystems, BW's newly-formed global bioprocessing equipment manufact-urer, appointed Joel Williams as President. Joel most recently served as President of the Pharmaceutical and Advanced Techno-logy Business Group of ILC Dover. Technical aptitude paired with biomedical career history and expertise as a self-described “business builder” well-positions him to set the vision and deliver results for the new standalone business.

When people have a comfortable equilibrium between their thoughts and emotions, they are experiencing homeostasis, or a person’s “happy place.” However, we often face problematic circumstances where our thoughts and emotions are not in sync. One way to help someone get back to their "happy place" is to reflectively listen.

Congratulations to recent High Five award winner, Olaf Dreger, of BW Papersystems (BWP) in Wedel, Germany! Congratulations to Field Service Engineer, Jarek Szymanowski, of BW Papersystems (BWP) in Dreieich-Sprendlingen, Germany, for receiving a High Five award! Jarek's nominator, Filip Boruszak, Regional Sales Manager, said "he is a true example of exceptional technical customer service support. He goes above and beyond to get customers the service they need to keep their businesses moving forward. Learn the secret to becoming a caring leader

In this month's issue of International Business Times CEO Bob Chapman explores the idea that teaching leaders to care begins with something that seems so simple and something everyone initially thinks they do well—listening. But do you really know how?

Design Group (DG) in Chennai, India has a tradition of hosting an annual event called Impetus that serves as a professional forum for India region team members to gather and participate in fun activities such as games, skits, dancing, friendly competitions and more. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the celebration was on hold for several years—until now!

Recently, over 150 team members from Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Pune, participated and competed in the various Impetus events. Jay Gopinath, DG Partner and Director of the India Region, said it was "exciting to see the vibrancy in the office along with the rapport and the competitive spirit of the various participating teams" and the successful event "served as an excellent platform to recognize professionals for their contributions" and "build relationships with one another."

BW GETS A LEADING ROLE

Documentary about BW is semi-finalist in film festivals

In February, we shared that a former Sesame Street actor turned documentary producer visited BW Papersystems in Phillips, Wisconsin (USA) and captured in a short documentary that care, collaboration, empathy and dignity can exist in business. The film is now getting noticed as a semi-finalist at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards and the Sacramento World Film Festival. UKRAINE UPDATE

BW team members have donated $26,229 to help people of Ukraine

BW partnered with International Medical Corps this year as a way for team members to contribute to Ukraine relief efforts. As of August 24, 187 team members have donated a total of $26,229.53. Thank you to all who have donated. What generosity!

All donations were, and continue to be, generously matched up to $50,000 by Bob and Cynthia Chapman. Team members can still donate HERE.

Use Windows Search to easily find something on your computer!

Windows search is a useful tool to find not only files, but also applications and settings on your computer. To access it, click the magnifying glass in the bottom left of your screen. If you don’t see this, right-click on the taskbar and hover over Search; from there select Show search icon. To search, simply type in what you are looking for, and Windows will get you what you need.
